I'm 14 and 150 lbs my best friend cant even tell that I'm that heavy though. i was just curious if teens could lose weight faster than an adult because I see all those commercials for weight loss pills and it takes those adults a long time to lose weight. I mean I dont want the pills…I want to lose weight the right way….but I was just wondering?
yes…its harder to lose the weight when you are an adult particularly if you are over 30….metabolism slows down after your 20's…add to that stress and bad eating habits…at 14, it should be easy for you to lose the weight…eat right…dont diet yourself to death(yoyo dieting is a no-no…it only helps you to gain more weight)…its better to eat 6 small meals a day (esp. fruits and vegetables) than eating 3 full meals…digestion is better this way…walking is also the best exercise…climb the stairs instead of using the lift or the escalator…it strengthens your legs and shapes your butt…

I am a teen 5 FT. 6 IN. and i con’t lose weight. i play football basketball bowling and paintball. I run faster then some of my friends that are skinnyer. but i can’t lose weight i exercise everyother day and i hardly eat junk food and drink soda. help?
you must be overeating then, only eat brekfast, lunch and dinner, and dont fill up the tummy all the way. keep 80% of the stomach full. and remember eat healthy, lay off the snacks and then you be in perfect condition in no time.

I am very unhappy with my current weight. I was just wondering if there are any teenager that have had some serious success. Any tips would be great too. Thanks
I lost 30 lbs in 10 months. I started off with Weight Watchers (it’s fantastic, you should become a member). I’m not a member anymore but I still loosely follow the program at home. I know 30 lbs isn’t that much in 10 months but I feel it’s an accomplishment. I still want to lose a lot more though. Good luck =] xx

I want to know if there are any plans designed specifically for teenagers and what they are, so if anyone can tell me, it will be greatly appreciated.
To really lose your weight for good. Eat healthily with lots of veggies, lean meat and complex carbs and exercise. They will increase your metabolism rate and burn fats.
I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
My teenage boy eats the same as me with more complex carbs. That's based on his high energy output.
Details such as meals, recipes, walking as an exercise and to shape the body etc etc, are in my blog

I am looking at losing 30 pouinds. What is a good prograam for this that can fit a school atteneding lifestyle? Edit: I am 14 years old and in 8th grade. I currently play hockey and as far as weight goes, i am overweight by medical standards.
Hi Keith
A good way to lose weight if you are still at school is to try and join in as many sports activities as you can manage. Football and rugby are good as you will be running around a lot and burning off a lot of calories. Swimming is also a good activity as you will be toning up your whole body. Try and cut down on junk food and fizzy cola drinks but make sure you eat regularly well balanced meals 3 times a day (please do not try and starve yourself as this will not work and will only make you feel ill and lethargic).
Take a look at the website below, there you will find reviews of the top 5 online weight loss diets. They are all good weight loss programs, just find the one that will suit you best. There are also some weight loss videos and a free e-book. Hope this helps.
